The Heart

Behind the Mission

My life’s mission is to help people experience

healing and live out their God-given

purpose from a place of wholeness.

I founded Faith on the Journey to support that mission — equipping churches, ministry

leaders, and believers to heal from the impact of trauma through the truth of scripture and the

power of faith. I believe that emotional

healing is sacred — and the church should be

a place where people can experience it fully.

That calling became even more personal when I survived domestic violence and later walked through the pain of divorce. These experiences deepened my understanding of trauma and strengthened my commitment to raising awareness, especially within faith communities. My journey as a minister and trauma educator has taught me this: healing is possible, and the

church has a vital role to play in that process.

My Role in This Work

Master Facilitator. National Trainer.

Minister of Healing.

As a Master Facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute, I train pastors, chaplains, faith leaders, and ministry teams using a globally recognized, scripture-based curriculum grounded in trauma-informed care.

I’ve led dozens of trauma healing groups, conducted faith-based trauma healing workshops, and facilitated trauma healing certification cohorts designed to equip leaders with the skills and confidence to guide others through emotional and spiritual recovery. Through these certification programs, I help churches and ministries develop leaders who are trained to lead biblically grounded trauma healing groups and build trauma-informed congregational care.

This isn’t just work for me — it’s a calling.

I feel especially honored when I have the opportunity to lead clergy healing retreats. Clergy, chaplains, and ministry leaders rarely have the space to speak openly about their pain, which is why I create retreats that offer a safe environment to share honestly, begin their own healing process, and learn how to minister from a place of wholeness — leading others with greater empathy, wisdom, and spiritual integrity.

About Faith on the Journey

I founded Faith on the Journey in November 2018.  It started as a simple blog, and now it is a leading provider of Christian trauma-informed care and grief support. We equip churches and lay leaders with the tools to offer biblically grounded, compassionate care to individuals navigating trauma, grief, and emotional pain.

Through Christian counseling, trauma-informed training, and ministry consulting, our team has partnered with churches and organizations across the country to build healing-centered ministries that meet people where they are — and walk with them to where God is calling them to be.

Whether through virtual workshops, leadership training, or community partnerships, Faith on the Journey is advancing a movement of healing within the body of Christ.
